Job Focus:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Revenue to lead our sales and monetization team in New York. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the digital media landscape, an extensive network of advertisers and brands, and a proven track record in closing high-value strategic deals. As Head of Revenue, you will play a pivotal role in driving our revenue growth by overseeing sponsorship of editorial, video sponsorship, brand integrations into our social media channels, event sponsorship, and targeted on-site media.
Responsibilities:
● Lead and Manage Sales Teams: Oversee and manage sales and monetization team to achieve revenue targets and objectives.
● Strategic Deal-Making: Identify and execute high-value, strategic deals with a strong focus on sponsorships, brand integrations, and event sponsorship.
● Monetization Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive on-site monetization strategy to maximize revenue, stay up to date on the latest ad tech trends, and regularly analyze site performance, user behavior and revenue metrics to make data-driven decisions.
● Ad Partnerships: Manage relationships with ad networks, exchanges and partners to maximize CPMs and fill rates.
● Digital Media Expertise: Demonstrate superior knowledge of the digital media landscape and industry trends to develop effective revenue generation strategies.
● Client Relations: Utilize your extensive network of advertisers and brands to foster and maintain client relationships.
● Effective Communication: Act as a great communicator both internally and externally, collaborating with cross-functional teams and effectively presenting proposals to clients.
● Performance Analysis: Regularly evaluate the performance of sales teams and initiatives to optimize revenue generation.
● Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, setting revenue goals, and implementing strategies to achieve them.
Minimum Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
● 8+ years of experience leading and running sales and monetization teams.
● Proven ability to close high-value, strategic deals in the digital media industry.
● In-depth knowledge of digital media landscape and industry trends.
● A well-established network (rolodex) of advertisers and brands.
● Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
● Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
● Previous experience in a similar role within the digital media industry.
● Track record of driving substantial revenue growth and exceeding targets.
