Job Focus

Literally Media is seeking an Editor in Chief to lead our editorial teams for Cracked and eBaum’s World. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and helping build the day-to-day content creation and distribution strategy for both properties, work closely with the video team to create amazing video experiences in the respective brand voice, and building a strategy to grow our audience and elevate the Cracked and eBaum’s World brands in the marketplace.

In this role you will manage a full editorial team, be responsible for growing and scaling the team and content output, build our overall content strategy and growth plan, and set appropriate goals and KPIs, delivering results across key audience and revenue metrics. This job requires expertise in leading a talented team of creators while also strategically mapping out team and performance growth, and being confident in communicating a plan and key performance results to peers and the Literally Media executive team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

●  Create a well-informed editorial content strategy (leveraging SEO skills and insights as appropriate), while setting the editorial direction, output expectations and editorial standards for the brands

●  Build, manage, and lead Cracked and Ebaum’s World team of writers and editors, ensuring that all content is published on time and with a high degree of quality

●  Leverage celebrities and influencers to build respective brand affinity and drive audience engagement to all content efforts

●  Partner with Technology, Product and Audience Development teams to achieve traffic and lead targets across O&O sites, newsletters and all social channels

●  Partner with Ad sales and Monetization teams to achieve media bookings and revenue targets

●  Forecast and report on content budget revenue, traffic and engagement metrics

●  Ensure that the voice of each brand is maintained in the growth and scaling of Video across all relevant distribution channels

●  Manage and meet audience growth, content output, and user engagement KPIs

●  Identify areas of opportunity and growth outside of core editorial, including newsletter sign ups, commerce, and other brand growth opportunities

Qualifications

●  8+ years of relevant experience at an established digital media publication

●  Proven track record of audience, engagement and social growth, specifically around how to strategically optimize content for each social media platform

●  Experience hiring, managing, and mentoring direct reports

●  Impeccable writing, reporting and editing skills

●  Fluent in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, comScore

●  Demonstrated success utilizing data to inform content development and programming strategies

●  Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with multiple stakeholders and departments; a real team player

●  Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure handling multiple projects with a nimble, solutions-oriented mindset

●  Deep knowledge of digital content best practices, SEO and audience development tactics.
