Doug Z. Goodstein recently finished a four-year contract as the Executive Producer of LevinTV, a daily

30-plus minute political opinion & commentary show with nationally syndicated radio talk show host

and New York Times Best-Selling Author, Mark Levin. Goodstein was tasked with starting up the

flagship show for a network that has now grown to over 25 different shows. LevinTV is a digital

television show shot ‘live-to-tape’ for distribution several hours later on the subscription-based BlazeTV

streaming network via the BlazeTV website/app, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon, and Samsung SMART

TV’s. Over 600 episodes have been produced since the March 2016 launch; Goodstein produced the

Concurrently, Goodstein also served as the Executive Producer of “Life, Liberty & Levin” on the Fox

News Channel in a co-production deal with BlazeTV. He created and developed all aspects of the

show leading to the successful launch. The show has been the highest rated show on the primetime

Sunday lineup among cable news networks since the debut in February 2018 and has on several

occasions been the number one show for the entire weekend among cable news networks. Guests on

“Life, Liberty & Levin” have included: Sarah Palin, Ken Starr, Gary Sinise, Rick Harrison, Sean

Hannity, Devin Nunes, Mike Lindell (MyPillow), Fred Dryer, Rick Barry, Mike Huckabee and many

other prominent political and entertainment figures. To date, over 50 one-hour episodes have been

produced; the show was shot in real-time (“live-to-tape”).

Prior to LevinTV, Goodstein ended a multi-year run in December 2013 working with Howard Stern as

the Executive Producer and VP, Production & Development of Howard TV On Demand, a subscription

video on demand (SVOD) channel produced by iN Demand Networks that aired nationwide on

numerous cable systems. Goodstein oversaw the overall operations of the channel including

production (live, studio, field, and post-production), development (original series and one-off specials),

programming, scheduling, staffing, Rights & Clearances and the operating budget. He was also

involved with all the advertising, marketing, social media, legal team, cross-promotion, and strategic

partnership initiatives for the channel.

 

Goodstein was the Executive Producer for over 4,500 shows in the eight-year run of the channel. He

created and developed numerous original Howard TV productions and series in the following genres:

Competition Newsmagazine / News Semi-Scripted

 

Some of the shows Goodstein developed were a monthly show recapping the behind the scenes world

of the Howard Stern Show called: Howard Stern: Behind the Scenes Show. Goodstein also oversaw

the production of the re-purposed archived E! shows and new ‘daily shows’ from Stern’s SiriusXM

Satellite Radio studio in NYC. Two daily shows were produced and turned around same day, debuting

on the channel about 36 hours later which was one of the fastest turnarounds of original SVOD content

available at the time.

 

Goodstein has produced thousands of studio, field, live event, man-on-the-street, guerilla and remote

segments in a wide variety of genres and has a strong skillset with all aspects of the production (talent

management, booking, marketing, social media and management process) to obtain the highest

quality results.

 

Prior to iN Demand, Goodstein was the Supervising Producer of the Howard Stern Show on E!

Entertainment Television for eleven years where he worked in various roles. He was been a part of

each of the nearly 2,300 plus shows that aired on E!, personally producing almost 400 episodes.

Goodstein oversaw the creation and production of the first ever Howard Stern Film Festival, which

received over 2,000 entries. He was also in charge of producing all of the ‘on-the-road’ live remote

events, which have included “Live at The Hard Rock Hotel (four consecutive years); “Live @ Trump’s

Taj Mahal: Stuttering John vs. Cabbie Boxing”; Howard Stern from The Playboy Mansion; Howard

Stern from the E! Studios; Howard Stern’s Boxing Match from WWE-NY; and Howard Stern at the

MTV Video Music Awards (three consecutive years).

 

Goodstein supervised and produced the more visual studio segments that were often some of the

wildest and most compelling segments seen on television. In addition, he has also done extensive

field production, producing thousands of shoots in his career ranging from celebrity interviews to

makeovers to dating segments to man-on-the street interviews.

 

Goodstein has also worked for REVOLT TV, a cable channel owned by Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs.

He was the Executive Producer/ Showrunner of the live three-hour daily broadcast of “The Breakfast

Club” from Power 105.1FM featuring DJ Envy, Angela Yee & Charlamagne Tha God. He was an

integral part of creating the show from concept to launch. He oversaw all production aspects of the

live show and post-production of pre-taped segments featuring some of the biggest names in hip-hop,

R&B and rap. He also created the operational workflow and was involved in creating the visual look of

the show.

 

Goodstein was the Co-Executive Producer of the TLC series “Escaping Alaska” (aired Summer 2014 &

Internationally: Fall 2014) that was created and developed in a partnership with Hot Snakes Media

(Amish Mafia; Breaking Amish).

 

Goodstein also created and Executive Produced an online cooking show series called “Big Meals,

Small Places” in a partnership deal with Disney owned Maker Studios. The concept: to show how bona

fide big meals normally cooked in a regular sized kitchen can be prepared and cooked using nothing

more than a toaster oven.

 

Goodstein was the Executive Producer on Artie Lange’s Comedy Central standup special: “Jack &

Coke” which was also released on DVD in November 2009. Goodstein has also freelanced for ABC’s

“Jimmy Kimmel Live”, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and for Fox’s “MadTV” for various types of New

York area shoots.

 

Goodstein’s pro-bono work includes a project for the United States District Court of New York. He was

the producer, director and editor of their “150th Commemorative Anniversary” video.

 

Goodstein has owned his own multi-media production company for over 20 years; clients have

included ASCAP, Yahoo!, NYCtogo.com, Pfizer, Business Week Magazine and many others.

 

Goodstein has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Entertainment Weekly, NY Post, The Boston

Globe, Variety, E! Online, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Television Week, and several other newspapers

and online entertainment websites. He has also done speaking engagements at several universities

and colleges.

 

Goodstein began his television career just two days after graduating college as a production assistant

on TV commercials for Exit Productions in NYC followed by freelance work for ABC News at the

Democratic and Republican National Conventions. The ABC News stint lead to a two-year staff job as

a news assistant for several news shows including ‘World News Tonight’, ‘World News Now’ and

“World News This Morning”. Goodstein also was an intern at WABC-TV, WNBC-TV, “Geraldo” (talk

show) & Cox Cable in Manchester, CT.

 

Goodstein’s insatiable passion for producing television brings a high level of energy, creativity and

forward thinking to any project he is involved with. Goodstein currently lives on Long Island, N.Y. with

his wife and two young children.
