Summary

I lead and grow digital media businesses with a positive social impact. The pioneering content and audience experiences I deliver maximized engagement and revenues for organizations like Discovery Inc., Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, AOL, HBO, Upworthy, Girlgaze, Gates Foundation, and Vurbl Media. I am an empathetic leader who sets the bar high, creates a “zero balls dropped” culture, and advocates for my teams’ successes.

In 2020, as Chief Operating Officer at Vurbl Media, I launched a new streaming audio platform positioned as “the YouTube of audio”—raising growth capital and scaling the business model. I provide strategic advisory services to the talent discovery network, Free the Work, and the digital spaces nonprofit, New Public. I have collaborated with the Gates Foundation on the Voices for Economic Opportunity Grand Challenge and judged this grant competition to address national poverty. In 2019, I was selected as a Techstars mentor.

I developed the social impact advertising strategy as interim COO for Upworthy—a digital-first, prosocial company recognized in 2014 by Fast Company as the fastest-growing media site of all time. As the COO for Girlgaze—a social media publisher, creative agency, and talent discovery platform for female-identifying creatives—I secured growth capital, closed content deals, and earned a Cannes Glass Lion Award for Change.

As Vice President for Discovery Innovations, I launched and led all editorial and marketing functions for Discovery’s first social learning platform. I transitioned to build Discovery’s Studio R+D, a content hub that fueled revenue growth for 14 brands. In this role, I leveraged my experience in building content studios and securing cross-platform advertising partnerships for AOL and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where I delivered the then-largest revenue-generating campaign in the history of Martha’s brand.

My entrepreneurial spirit is part of my DNA. In my first year out of college, I launched and built a $90M VC-backed eCommerce platform with a large product portfolio and a branded magazine. I continued to initiate and drive tech-enabled business transformation at TechTV, Marketlive, and HBO. I remain an active member of the startup community as a speaker, mentor and advisor. I’m inspired by big swing initiatives designed to drive meaningful social and economic impact.
