About michael schwartz

Michael Schwartz 405 East 54th Street | Apt. 9R New York, NY 10022 michael@mscreativegroup.com 917-685-9069 Dear Rob and RBM teammates, Thanks for the opportunity to join the tribe. My experience continues to be mostly in the worlds of music, entertainment, television and sports. I'm a hybrid of leadership/management skills along with a full set of hands-on creative skills across all platforms i.e. copywriting, scriptwriting; design/imaging/visual identity; conceiving/writing/producing video & audio content; and my 24/7 obsession & compulsion: idea generation. I've had the chance and privilege to use these skills to conceive, create, shepherd and execute a wide array of content, campaigns and other projects for a long list of major worldwide recording artists who, collectively, have sold several hundred million units. I've also used same said skills for many of television's most important sports properties including but not limited to the NFL, NHL, golf, tennis and horse racing. My work: https://michaelschwartz.crevado.com/ I'm also enclosing a link to a trailer I'm proud to say I recently wrote, art directed and co-produced for a music documentary I am currently pitching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQrZag9GU5w&feature=youtu.be ...And a link for an unscripted music docu series that follows Zak Starkey (Drummer for The Who and Ringo's son): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC2PW5qfLUE Prior to becoming an independent, full service creative/marketing/idea source, I held senior positions in creative and marketing at Sony Music Entertainment and Arista Records. I started my career in advertising and promotion at NBC working on both the account and creative side. That role was a direct result of my initial position as an NBC page. I am also currently a consultant to Dan Klores Communications where I've had the opportunity to use my integrated marketing and idea gen skills on behalf of the founder, and also for the company's varied and extensive roster of clients. I truly believe that I can be an invaluable, versatile creative/marketing/idea "go-to-guy" and genuine asset in many ways for any number of companies in the worlds of music, entertainment, television and sports. I'm a tireless, imaginative workhorse who thrives on more work rather than less with the ability to successfully juggle it all due to a healthy amount of passion, energy, enthusiasm and natural adrenaline. I truly look forward to connecting and conversing in the not too distant future. My sincere thanks, Michael Schwartz

I’m an imaginative, passionate marketing/creative leader and content creator in the music industry, broader entertainment industry, television and sports worlds (and beyond) with a 24/7/365 obsessive idea generation mindset.

I bring a combination of leadership/project oversight/management skills with a full set of hands-on creative skills (writing, design, video content creation, idea generation, integrated marketing) to successfully take on a wide scope of projects from start to finish, from concept creation through concept execution.

I had the honor and great fun of beginning my career as a Page at NBC – an extraordinary initial education on the worlds of television, entertainment, sports etc. I was gratified to have been able to turn that position into an ‘actual’ staff position: a hybrid creative/account role in NBC’s Advertising & Promotion department handling accounts that included the various radio properties and programming NBC owned at the time, and NBC Sports among others.

I followed my passion to the music industry with two leadership positions in marketing/creative at Sony Music Entertainment and Arista Records before deciding to become an independent creative | marketing | idea source to a variety of clients in a variety of spaces.

A few things I’m proud of:
– Researching, writing, producing – and overseeing from pre through post – RCA Records’ 100th Anniversary Worldwide Trailer.

– Idea generation, branding, visual identity for The RENS AAU Basketball Program.

– Logo design for Dan Klores’ recent 10 part documentary for ESPN: “Basketball: A Love Story.”

– Integrated marketing concepts for DKC Communications and helping to launch their in-house creative department.

– Scriptwriting for Discovery I.D. unscripted series.

– Writing, design and art direction, and co-producing the trailer for a forthcoming music documentary on the truly crazy life and career of Peter Lemongello: “But Wait There’s More…The Wild Saga Of Peter Lemongello.”  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3uRMPF7glI&feature=youtu.be

– Advertising campaigns and strategies to help launch J Records.
