My background in journalism and media shapes my ability to influence the public-facing image of every company I work for. I manage all creative and executive talent and keep every teammate informed and focused on high-pressure, high-profile projects. Co-workers who know me best say that I am a personable leader with high energy and a sense of humor.
I lead KB Communications—a public relations, communications, and events, sole proprietorship serving small businesses and nonprofit organizations. My career began at CBS News as an intern for industry icons, Dan Rather and Connie Chung. I was promoted to cover Presidential elections and national events as an Associate Producer for our Washington, D.C. bureau—the most significant contributor to all CBS News broadcasts. In 2000, I became CBS News White House Special Events Producer in a front-row seat to some of the most impactful events of the 21st century. My role at CBS also included a leadership role in staff development and diversity for our D.C. bureau, new hires, and interns.
I confidently navigate complex logistics to manage large-scale events in the U.S. and globally. At CBS News, I was the City & VIP Pool Producer for over 20 international trips with the Bush and Obama administrations—spanning more than 26 countries for 5 media networks. I earned a reputation as a relationship builder in my work with business executives, government officials, and other high-profile personalities. At Encore Creativity for Older Adults, my responsibilities included PR, communications (social, video, podcast content production), and fundraising for this 1,300-member musical ensemble. I also managed event logistics for the ensemble’s performances at notable venues such as the JFK Center for the Performing Arts.
