Jaclyn Sassoon is a unique combination of strategy and execution, team leadership and collaboration, data-driven insights and creativity. A forward-thinking leader within the rapidly changing omnichannel marketplace, she has built a distinguished career of achievement by bringing analytical, technological, artistic, and business concepts together into marketing strategies that elevate consumer engagement and P&L performance.
“[Jaclyn’s] input and creative thinking helped to create some of our more successful executions. She lives and breathes the brand and knows how to strategically leverage our existing [assets] into marketing executions that surpass expectations. [Drawing upon] her experience in marketing, Jaclyn knows exactly what brands are looking for and how to achieve their goals.”
These comments from a former Fortune 500 brand colleague illustrate the measurable value that Jaclyn has created in each role. At the foundation of these successes are the teams that she has built and developed—cross-functional departments that thrive on the introduction of new ideas, collaboration, project management process rigor, and the delivery of campaigns that resolve challenges for blue-chip brands (e.g., Amazon, AT&T, Coca-Cola, Nike, Taco Bell, T-Mobile, Visa, Kohl’s, Unilever, CoverGirl, among others).
Most recently, as a Vice President for the entrepreneurial Bustle brand, Jaclyn was pivotal in integrating several newly acquired companies and teams into a unified video strategy for both branded and editorial content. From 2017 to 2018, she served as a consultant for Two Goats Immersive Studio where she gained valuable experience in AR/VR consumer experience development.
The trajectory of Jaclyn’s career began at Full Glass Films where she contributed to the production of a feature film, The Insurgents, as the Location Manager. In 2007, she was recruited into the role of Associate Producer for MTV Digital. Over the next nine years, she advanced through positions of increasing leadership responsibility, ultimately serving as the Vice President of Revenue Solutions for Viacom’s Music Group Digital business.
Among Jaclyn’s achievements at Viacom is her contribution to a marketing leadership team whose branded strategies directly impacted a billion-dollar annual revenue stream. Pivoting across changing organizational structures to meet the changing demands of the company, she was promoted in 2010 into a newly created role to serve as the Head of Branded Content Solutions. Over the next six years, she ushered the MTV and VH1 brands into a new phase of digital innovation and content monetization (e.g., live social telecasts; audience participation on Google Search, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram; and additional tools to unlock content).
Jaclyn holds a B.A. in journalism and mass media from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NY.
