With over 20 years experience designing, selling internally and implementing strategies for revenue growth, I bring a creative mindset to the myriad of challenges I face. I recently completed a 2 year consulting gig at Crunchyroll, one of the world’s largest streaming platforms. I exploited their TV, video, theatrical and merchandising rights in international markets. Starting with an assessment of their portfolio, I designed, modeled the financial impact, and implemented a strategy for Latin America expansion. The key element of the strategy was testing a branded block on linear TV in Brazil that has helped drive thousands of additional subscriptions to the Crunchyroll streaming platform. The TV block strategy will be expanded with a region wide partnership that should be announced soon. At my startup Lyricle, a pop culture trivia game developer, we decided to take a non-traditional approach to the launch and distribution of our music lyric challenge (Lyricle: Lyric Quiz). We secured distribution partnerships that featured our app on screens in bars and in chain restaurant tabletop tablets. Additionally, our mobile launch was exclusively on Google Play, which helped us get featured in the store and reach top 5 in the trivia category. Finally, we worked on a native sponsorship model as opposed to forcing our players to wade through non-relevant and filler advertising. Of course, one needs to achieve strong results. In my position running international licensing and sales at VIZ Media, I worked closely with broadcast, promotional and merchandising partners to ensure the properties and brands that we represented got the necessary local distribution and exposure to generate significant revenues. I was able to grow the business from zero to well in excess of $100 million at the retail level in two years time. In short, I have taken on numerous challenges for which I have often been able to find innovative ways of creating growth opportunities.
