About Chrisjconti

I have over 30 years experience in the entertainment business in Los Angeles. First as an executive at NBC, then as an independent writer/executive producer, and finally as Head of Content for one of the largest urban millennial sites on the internet. As Head of Content for All Def Digital I was responsible for the comedic, social and musical content, both short form and premium, that helped take All Def Digital from obscure start up to one of the most dominant millennial channels on the web.   With over 3 million subscribers across all social media platforms, our content was a combination of ad driven content, saleable formats, and sponsored videos for multiple companies, including Universal, Paramount, Warner Brothers, Celsius Energy Drink and Beyond Meat. Along with overseeing daily content for All Def Digital, I continued to work in traditional media, selling comedy pilots to HBO, MTV, YouTube and Amazon, a music reality show to Spotify, and dramas by John Singleton and George Gallo to HBO. In 2017 I executive produced the HBO Special and subsequent 6-episode series ALL DEF COMEDY LIVE, revitalizing the Def Comedy brand on HBO.  I also Executive Produced  Fusion TV’s All Def Movie Awards and The Roast of Snoop Dog. Before joining ADD, I worked as an independent writer/producer, creating drama and comedy projects for NBC, USA, and ABC. Prior to that I was Senior Vice President, Drama Development for NBC, where I was responsible for developing numerous successful dramas that took NBC to #1 for five straight years.   Among the shows I green lit were Las Vegas, Medium, American Dreams, Crossing Jordon  and both of the critically acclaimed Law and Order spin-offs: Criminal Intent and Special Victims Unit.  I joined NBC as a page in 1990, working my way up to Senior Vice President. I left the executive ranks in 2005 to become a writer/producer under overall deals at Universal and Fox. As a producer I worked in all genres, selling two half-hour comedies to NBC, and dramas to CBS, NBC, and Lifetime.  As a writer I worked exclusively in drama, writing two pilots for NBC, a pilot for USA and a two-hour MOW for SPIKE. For the last 30 years, first as Head of Drama for NBC, and later as an Executive Producer, I worked closely with some of the best writers and directors in Hollywood.   I know the zeitgeist, get the best out of my teams and can handle pressure.  I have worked for companies large and small.  I am a self starter but can also get consensus across a network.   I have over 15 years of Network programming experience and another 15 years of production and writing for both digital and traditional mediums.  I am passionate about my job and have always worked and excelled in diverse work environments.  I know content and understand how to use analytics to connect, engage and broaden an audience.
