About Andy.Macleod

I am a business growth specialist and have over a decade of experience helping businesses unlock their potential through sustainable revenue growth.  I achieve this goal by leveraging my experience across a number of different practice areas.  My experience is not just limited to sales, marketing and retention, but also with people management, coaching, mentoring and Human Resources.  This diverse portfolio of expertise enables me to not just get and retain customers but identify areas where, operationally, a business can streamline.  This approach ensures that a business remains as lean and agile as possible, but is also able to grow it's brand as well as retain existing customers and entice new ones as well as secure and nurture the best talent available. Given that in my current company, The Knowledge Group, I am point of contact for every aspect of the business for stakeholders, speakers, sponsors and media partners.  I rely on my ability to create and forge relationships quickly with our customer base being Fortune 500 companies and AMLAW 100 firms. Since 2018 I have been covering our CEO as he has been at our support location in Asia.  In this time I have overseen an overhaul of our website, marketing materials and customer order journey. My executive leadership has seen record performance with us seeing unprecedented profit. Prior to working at TKG, I worked in my native England with British Telecommunications in a number of different capacities.  I worked as a sales advisor, coach and team leader as well as spearheading some business improvement projects.  My business improvement projects then pivoted to a full time role in the Human Resources business unit as I focused on reduction of risk and revenue lost by reducing the number of calendar days lost due to absence and poor performance. More detailed information about the projects undertaken can be found on my website (www.andymac.me) or with the contact details listed on my resume.

Education

  • The University of Liverpool

BS.(Hons) Geology and Physical Geography (Double Major)

As part of my individual final year assessment, I conducted two months of unsupervised field work for a mapping project in the Basque region of Spain. During this time, I honed my organization and team-building skills, expanded my comfort zone, and solved complex problems. My findings were logged in a field notebook in order to create a geological map of the area. I compiled these discoveries to produce a 5000-word dissertation, then presented the information to a panel of lecturers and peers.
