Summary

Alison Moore is an accomplished and versatile business leader who excels at building business around content- driven companies; she’s adept in monetization, consumer experience and consumer engagement for companies that create content or leverage content. She’s held C-Suite positions at companies ranging from Condé Nast and SoundCloud to NBCU and HBO and has been recognized in benchmark features such as The Hollywood Reporter’s Digital Power 50 and Broadcasting and Cable’s Digital Allstars List. She was born in New York and grew up in Atlanta, GA., both parents working professionals and strong role models. She has a degree in political science from University of Georgia, Athens, and while initially drawn to politics and Capitol Hill, her roots led her back to Atlanta where she landed her first job in marketing at Turner Broadcasting. She never looked back.

Today a sought-after New York-based executive across Fortune 500 Media Companies and Tech Startups, Moore possesses the unique ability to navigate a business inside and out. In mature companies, she’s met success creating the elements of transformation such as vision, execution and a culture of digital-first teams, to transition legacy business through emergent opportunities. And for digital start-up operations she been instrumental driving business growth through strategy, brand development and monetization. Earlier this year Microsoft tapped in to her wide breadth of skills, commissioning her for their flagship speaker series, ChangeMakers NYC where she spoke on the topic of “Intrapreneurs. Bringing Change From Within.”

Most recently, Moore was Chief Business Officer, Women’s/Beauty Collection at Condé Nast, overseeing the strategy, brand development, monetization (advertising, events, commerce, subscription) and ops for Condé Nast Women’s brands – Glamour, Allure, Brides. She also oversaw the company’s Beauty Business. Prior to Condé Nast, Moore was Chief Business/Revenue Officer at music streaming company SoundCloud. She oversaw business strategy, global brand development and monetization efforts (consumer and creator subscription and advertising) and led Marketing, Revenue, Product and International Strategy teams across the U.S. and Europe. Concurrently, she served on the Board of Great Bowery Management, a collective of top fashion and luxury agencies across the world.

Moore held two roles within NBCUniversal from 2012-2016. She was GM/EVP of TV Everywhere, overseeing digital video strategy and brand development across the media and entertainment giant’s portfolio of networks. She was also General Manager of DailyCandy, the influential digital beauty, fashion and lifestyle brand for women, where she oversaw the company operations and strategy.

Moore spent over a decade at HBO, and last held the role of Senior Vice President of Digital Products where she led consumer experience, digital brand marketing, content strategy and operations of HBO’s digital platforms. Among her other experience, serving as Director, Product Strategy for Cablevision’s Optimum Online, consulting for JPMorgan Chase & Co’s Lab Morgan Fund and Chase SBFS, and co-founding tech startup DatSat.

She’s currently an Advisor to Human Ventures, a venture fund and startup studio, founded by Joe Marchese (Fox, Disney) and Heather Hartnett.  She is also a Digital Advisory Board Member to Evolus, a NextGen pharma aesthetics firm focused on beauty and wellness. She is active on the speaking circuit, recently the keynote and a panel moderator at PCPC Beauty Summit and a panelist at Advertising Week in New York’s talk “Bloomberg Disruptors – the Startup Nexus.” Moore is often tapped as a mentor, recently sharing her expertise with NYU students with an A to Z talk on Media Business Dynamics.

She currently lives in New York City with her family.
