About alewitinn

My experience brings years of being in charge of some of the most noteworthy media properties and programs.  As Head of Live Programming and Executive Producer for CBS NEWS’s 24/7 OTT news service CBSN, I was responsible for all content and successfully led the platform to become a powerhouse news property for CBS.   In 2017, I left CBS NEWS to become Head of Live Programming for MTV and VH1, where I launched strategy that produced MTV’s largest social-media franchise and MTV’s youngest linear demo.     I just signed a consultancy with WIREWAX, the world’s largest interactive studio.  The London-based company is the leader in interactive video video studio and AI platform to help brands, creative agencies, and broadcasters create highly engaging video experiences. I’m one of those odd fish who does both content-creative and operations-strategy.  My career thumbnail:                           Created, developed, and produced 19,000 hours of award-winning high-profile programming worldwide •                         16.6 billion impressions •                         local, national, and global scale in the US, EMEA, and LATAM.                         created launched, developed, and re-built global media brands, straddling both content and operations.                         broker content deals Stops along the road: ABC, CBS, NBC, CNBC, CNBC Europe, Fox, CNN, MTV; consulting for NBCUNIVERSAL Distribution, SAP, and the Miss Universe Organization; Supervising Producer of Phil Donahue’s show; producing Yahoo’s largest-ever livestream event; leading AOL’s branded digital content studio, and creating and producing shows worldwide for ITV, France2, Sat.1, ProSieben, RTL4, Israel2, SBT Brazil, RED Peru, and CTC Russia. Now, as an independent consultant and advisor, I have been a member of Advisory Boards to brands looking to create OTT and DTC brand extensions.  Some current projects: •                         a New York-based fin-tech news service creating a DTC platform (with an overlay of executing trades)— I’ll use the tech one day for a sports betting network. •                         a broadcaster in Israel creating a streaming news service •                         a US-based lifestyle/fashion/celeb video brand creating a European OTT platform leveraging their library •                         brokering a political news site’s pop-up MVPD channel for the US 2020 election •                         brokering a global luxury hotel chain’s branded content I have dual U.S. and EU citizenship, speak six languages, and possess a wide range of contacts in the political, business, tech, television, film, music, art, theater, and creative communities worldwide.
